I am pleased to be the President of the Norwalk Rotary Club for the third time. They say that the third time's the charm. We are continuing our support of literacy in the City of Norwalk. The Dictionary Project is going to take place before the holiday break. This project allows us to personally hand each third grader in ths city their own dictionary to keep and utilize. The look on these kids faces is amazing when they get their books. Some of them have never owned their own book and we emphasize that it is theirs, no one else's.

Our club is starting the process of applying for matching grants for the purpose of building a new school library for a proposed charter school in our city. This is an exciting project and a huge undertaking. We have the support of the school and the un-ending energy of our Assistant Governor.

This may not be finalized in my term but we will get the ball rolling this year.

Or course we will be concentrating on building our membership and expanding our fundraising. If you are in the area on any Wednesday, please stop in as our guest for a meeting. We are located at the Norwalk Inn And Conference Center at 99 East Ave.
